Happy Monday! This is a picture from Mark and my hike yesterday at Quicksilver Park. It was beautiful, but a lot of work! Today is my last day in California and now I'm going to be in three different time zones in the next three days. Therefore, I just wanted to let you know that I will be taking this week off from blogging. With all of the traveling it's going to be pretty chaotic and therefore difficult to find time to post. I'll see you next week!

The title of this post should suggest how hard it is for me to come to terms with my new realization. I have in fact been opposed to camo for most of my life, but lately I have found myself questioning these old oppositions, and with them my identity. Just kidding, I'm done being dramatic now. In all seriousness I have been lusting after some camo/military inspired coats lately thanks to some seriously stylish bloggers who have convinced me that camo is Fabulous. About a month ago I explained how I would like to do 20 While I'm 20, or nice things for people during my 20th year here. Well, here is number 2 out of 20. I got some post-it's and set out around Mark's campus to write little notes to people, hoping to brighten someone's day. 

I just hope that maybe these will find someone who needs a little pick-me-up or a little bit of encouragement, or even just a quick smile. 

I've talked to a few people about this endeavor of mine, and have had some cynical responses. Some people have said that they don't know if they would respond positively to receiving letters from random people (they would think it was poisoned or that they had a stalker), or to finding a post-it note saying 'have a nice day' on their car window (might think it's a ticket, or someone leaving a note saying 'I hit your car'). Honestly, that just makes me want to do this even more, because I want to prove that there are more nice, kind-hearted people in the world than crazies and weirdos.

1. This chevron planner from my new favorite store Paper Source. I love making lists and writing everything down to stay organized--I have two planners!

2. Gorgeous Fossil Tote.

3. I bought a miniature of this Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk conditioner because my travel size had run out. It's so luxe! It left my hair silky and smelling so yummy!

4. Animal print is having another moment and I'm loving it in all ways shapes and forms! As was made apparent by the appearance of my cheetah skirt here and here. 

5. J. Crew's current jewelry collection. I love all of it and want all of it. 

6. Cute iPhone covers from Paper Source.

7. My limited edition, luxurious, Pink Bubbly flavored Vaseline lip balm from England. I bought two and can't get enough!

What Fabulous Finds have you discovered lately?

Well it's a litte late, but better late than never! Mark and I had a wonderful weekend of picnicking, driving through the mountains in his convertible, visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea (my favorite book series growing up took place here, so I talked Mark into driving down for a visit!) and Santa Cruz, brunching and watching Game of Thrones. I wasn't too concerned with trying to capture everything this weekend, but here are a few of the things I did manage to snap pictures of!

There were so many adorable dogs! Here Mark captured me getting excited about a particularly cute lab who kept digging in the sand. Here's a zoomed in version:

Yeah...this happened. 

I really wanted a picture of a sign saying Carmel-by-the-Sea...this was the closest I could find.

Then it was on to ride roller coasters and walk the boardwalk in Santa Cruz.

That's what I love about fashion and styling, you can change just one thing and the outfit is transformed. I think this gingham top makes it more daywear and the black top from last week was more date night.

As a new maxi dress owner, I'm still experimenting and having fun with styling my newest closet staple. Today I tried out a nautical belt and a dotted sunhat for a summer-casual look. I was weary about buying a maxi dress for a long time, despite knowing how comfortable they are, but now I'd never look back! Okay, okay--I'm done with my Ode to the Maxi Dress.

This weekend was truly perfect. Here are a few snapshots (with my new camera) from our weekend!

Mark's car--to say it's fun to ride in is an understatement. 

We went up to San Francisco and then went on a tour up to Muir Woods to see the redwood trees. We stopped up in the Highlands to take in this phenomenal view of The Bay.

We took a ferry back from Sausalito to SF, which allowed for some awesome views. 

Sunday was spent at the pool and then eating Chinese and watching movies. All in all a wonderful weekend!
