Try the Trend for Less

February 22, 2017

I don't know about you, but I'm usually pretty skeptical of trends. It usually take a while for them to grow on me and even then I typically feel like I may not like it next season. Case in point: it took me three years of seeing people style over the knee boots before I could pull the trigger on my own pair. Anyway, the point is that I typically like to tip my sartorial toe into a trend by buying something on the less expensive side so that if I end up not loving it I didn't invest too much. So if you've been on the fence about the spring trends you're seeing right now, I've got you covered with some reasonably priced items! For example, the slip on loafers pictured above are only $23! They're dupes for the Gucci loafers, which Steve Madden made a version of, and then I found these for even less! They're pretty great quality for the price and they're super comfy!

Loafers/Slides:

Gucci is having a major moment right now, especially in the loafer department but there's no need to spend hundreds of dollars on the real deal because there are plenty of adorable and affordable options! Can we talk about this glittery pair and this floral embroidered pair - love!

Non-skinny jeans:

We've loved our skinny jeans for years, and while they're probably not going anywhere, I can't help but notice that there are tons of new denim styles popping up all over the place. From raw hems, to mom jeans to cropped flares, there is a pair for everyone.

Fancy sleeves:

Volume, ruffles, and bell sleeves (oh my!) are all over the place right now and I'm kind of loving how whimsical they are, just so long as they remain functional and don't hinder you from eating, writing, etc.😂 I haven't purchased anything from this trend yet but it's definitely growing on me!

This round up has gotten me so excited to try some of these trends out! Here's hoping we still like them next year ;)
