Wedding Q&A

February 13, 2017

I realized that I hadn't posted much about the wedding here on the blog recently, so I wanted to remedy that today. Don't be fooled, wedding planning is still in full force over here even if I'm not blogging about it. I thought I'd answer some of the questions that I get asked most often by friends, family, and coworkers so you can be up to date too!

Question: So are you done planning yet?
Answer: Not even close! Everyone has been asking me this, so apparently I give off the vibe that I've either been planning my wedding my whole life or that I would want to get everything done right away. The latter is semi-true. I've checked some things off before they were necessary and I could have been happy with a shorter engagement so there's less time to second guess yourself. But in short, no, I am not done planning!

Q: Do you have your dress yet?
A: Yes, I picked it out over Thanksgiving when I was home! I'll share more about the process after the wedding when I can show you guys which one I picked. I got it from Posh Bridal Couture. I decided to get one in MN because a) there's no sales tax in MN :) and b) I didn't want to be messing with flying my dress home for the wedding.

Q: What are your colors?
A: Grey, burgundy, and gold.

Q: Where are you planning to honeymoon?
A: Right now we're thinking Hawaii. Mark's never been and we really just want to sit on a beach and relax after wedding craziness. We figured we might as well save the money and stay in the US since we probably wouldn't end up doing too much exploring if we went to a different country. Also, it's hurricane season in October in the Caribbean so that ruled out a lot of close tropical destinations. We're thinking Kauai but I would love to know if you have anywhere you'd suggest!

Q: Are you stressed out?
A: Not quite yet :) there have been some weeks where we had to make a lot of decisions in a short period of time where things got tense, but overall we're not consumed yet. I have realized that I'm more indecisive than I thought I was and that stresses me out when I can't make a decision and am second guessing myself.

Q: How is planning from out of state going?
A: Overall it's going pretty well. We have an amazing planner, Emily, who makes it a lot easier. We have to be really strategic when we go home though about making sure we're fitting in the right things.

That's all for now, but let me know if you have any other questions! I'd be happy to answer :)
