The Best of 2014

December 31, 2014

Here's a look back at some of my favorite outfits from 2014! Hard to believe that today is the last day of the year! This year was an absolute blast. I started my last year of college, decided to move to California, took trips to NYC, Chicago, and SF, and became president of NSAC, among other things. 2015 is going to be a big year for me. I'll be graduating, looking for a job, and moving across the country. Bring it on!

Navy and Red

December 29, 2014

Coat: Topshop via Nordstrom (similar with more sizes here). Sweater: J. Crew Factory. Jeans: Gap. Boots: Hunter. Mittens: Macy's (similar).

I received this fun Topshop coat for Christmas and I already love it! I especially love the plaid detailing on the cuffs. I'm quickly learning that navy coats attract lint though, so please excuse the linty coat in the pictures. I know that Christmas is over but I cannot get enough of the color red. For the longest time I thought it was too Christmasy and wouldn't wear it during the rest of the year, but now I realize how ridiculous that is. It's probably the color I wear most these days. And don't even get me started on where I would be if I didn't have red lipstick... ;)

So how was your Christmas?! Mine was very low-key. On Christmas Eve we went to my uncle's for dinner then to an evening mass. On Christmas day we stayed in our PJs all day. That's my perfect Christmas: lounging all day.  Over the weekend Mark and I started watching Lost (like ten years late to the game on this one) and had date night where we went to see The Imitation Game (so so good)! I also spent the day exploring St. Paul with my family and had another Christmas family gathering last night.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Merry Christmas Eve!

December 24, 2014

Merry Christmas Eve my fabulous readers! I hope the next few days are filled with joy, love, family, and most importantly lots of yummy food! If you don't celebrate Christmas, then happy Wednesday and enjoy these days off!

See you back here next week!

A New Year's Eve Outfit

December 22, 2014

Top: J. Crew Factory. Skirt: Nordstrom (similar). Shoes: Zara (similar). Clutch: Anthropologie (similar).

Mark and I love to stay in on New Year's. We order take out, drink champagne, and watch movies all day. If I did go out on NYE though, this is what I would wear ;) When else can you wear all of the sparkles and gold?! I know that it isn't even Christmas yet, but I thought I would give you a head start with a little NYE inspiration.

How was your weekend? I'm all mixed up on my days now that I'm on break. All of the days feel like one big weekend. I never want it to end.

Can you believe that Christmas is this week?! Time needs to slow down so I can soak it all in.

Plaid on Polka Dots

December 19, 2014

Jacket: Gap (similar with more sizes). Sweater: Forever 21 (similar). Jeans: Banana Republic. Purse: Coach. Boots: Hunter

Oh my goodness. Guys. It's been a while and I have a lot to tell you!
1. I pulled the trigger on this coat I talked about in this post. Isn't she pretty? That's what happens when you go shopping with friends: they help you justify purchases ;)
2. It snowed again! It was unseasonable warm last weekend and it all melted. But Minnesnowta didn't disappoint and provided us with some fresh powder a few days later.
3. I am done with finals! This is why my posting schedule was so skewed this week. Well, that and...
4. Mark's home! For six weeks. And I am officially the happiest girl in the world.

Hope you have the most wonderful weekend!
