1 Romper 2 Ways
June 30, 2014
Romper: Loft. Sneakers: Sam Edelman. Purse: Philip Lim for Target (similar). Sunglasses: J. Crew Factory. Panama Hat: Parc Boutique (similar).
Rompers have such a laid back vibe, so I decided to play that up. This outfit would be perfect for running errands, or for a lazy summer dinner. This is my first romper, and so far I can't get enough. It's so comfortable, and it's a whole outfit in one piece!
Here's the second way I styled it:
Romper: Loft. Clutch: Gap (similar). Heels: JCPenny's. Sunglasses: RayBan. Earrings: Old Navy (in store only).
For this second look I decided to treat the romper like a dress when I was styling it. This look would be perfect for date night!
Have a fab Monday!

Drool-Worthy
June 26, 2014
I try to keep things pretty inexpensive here on My Inner Fabulous, but every once in a while I treat myself to something like RayBans. But then there are things like Manolo Blahniks that I can't afford to treat myself to, so I just drool over them window shop instead. Today I thought I would share some of my "I wish" items. I mean, who doesn't dream about the Carrie shoes, or owning a Chanel? Maybe someday :)

Sunshine

Skirt: Banana Republic (sold out :( similar here). Top: J. Crew. Belt: Target. Wedges: Steve Madden. Clutch: Target (similar). Sunglasses: RayBan.
A coworker told me I looked like sunshine when I wore this outfit, and I have to agree with her. How could I not while wearing this adorable lemon print and bubblegum-pink lipstick? I'm sad to say that this skirt is sold out but I listed a similar option above!

Pattern Mixing
June 23, 2014
Pop-over: J. Crew (very similar). Jeans: Gap (similar). Tote: Old Navy. Sandals: Target. Watch: Fossil.
You've probably realized by now that I love a good pattern mix. It took me a while to feel comfortable mixing patterns, but now it's just second nature. It's such an easy way to jazz up an otherwise simple outfit.
This weekend was pretty perfect. We went to the Twins game on Friday, and the weather was absolutely amazing. Then on Saturday there was a lot of swimming, dining al fresco, and celebrating Mark's birthday. He's back in California now, but I will be visiting the first week in August :)

Fabulous Finds
June 20, 2014
1. I know it's too early to be thinking about boot season, but these Sam Edalman's are seriously so cute!
2. Love me some tortoise shell from BaubleBar.
3. Whimsical polka dot skirt.
4. The perfect structured bag from Zara.
5. I've never actually owned a pair of loafers, but I feel like they would be so comfortable. Which I'm all about.
6. A fun summer skirt.
This weekend is going to be packed. It's Mark's last weekend before he heads back to CA, so we're trying to try to do as many things as possible in a few days. On the agenda: going to a peony farm (!!!), seeing Jersey Boys, a Twins game, and celebrating Mark's birthday.

Outtakes
June 19, 2014
My goal here on My Inner Fabulous is to keep things as real as possible. I think a lot of fashion bloggers take themselves a little too seriously. I got the idea from Hallie of Corals and Cognacs to share some outtakes from when I take outfit pictures. Every time we take outfit pictures, we take anywhere from 50-150 pictures, and only 6-10 make the bog cut. So as you can imagine, there are some unattractive gems that get lost. Obviously the majority of people enjoy looking at pretty pictures of flowers and outfits, but that gives the impression that my life is all flowers and looking put together. When, in fact, there's a fair share of hiccups, like when you look down at your feet and realize your ankles are covered in about ten mosquitos (pictured above). Can we just take a moment to appreciate how wonderful the above picture is. Great. Now that we've done that, here area few more lovlies to brighten up your Thursday.
Pumpkins? Puh-lease.
Twirling in heels is hard.
Had to.
Aren't talking pictures just the best?
It was so bright that day my eyes were watering. That wasn't the only time though!
My mom loves the moon (love you mom), and so she wanted to get one of me with the moon showing.
More of those f*ckers I mean mosquitos . Oh Minnesota...
Immediately ran to my car after taking these pictures because it was around six degrees out.
If you can't laugh at yourself, you're doing something wrong!

Hello 21
June 17, 2014
Dress: BB Dakota via Zappos (just a head's up, it's pretty low cut). Belt: Target. Earrings: Old Navy (in store only). Heels: JCPenny's. Clutch: Target (similar).
It was my 21st birthday on Sunday, and it was absolutely perfect. We brunched at W.A. Frost, ate birthday donuts, spent some time by the pool, and bar hopped. I'm so glad this guy was home to celebrate with me :)
