Rocksbox Review

April 29, 2015

Today's post is a long one, but it's so good, so bear with me! I'm excited to tell you about Rocksbox, which is a monthly jewelry borrowing service! When Rocksbox reached out to me and offered to let me try it out I agreed immediately, because hellooo jewelry! It's such a fun idea. You take a survey about your style and then they send you three pieces to try out. You can wear them for as long as you'd like, and then return them to get three new pieces! If you really love something, you can purchase it, or send it back to try something new. So today, I styled the three pieces I was sent in my first Rocksbox. It was actually quite thrilling to see what they would send me. It's the little things, ya know?

Dress: BB Dakota (similar). Belt: Forever 21. Shoes: Kohl's. Clutch: Coach (similar). Sunglasses: Rayban's. Earrings: Perry Street Aria Earrings borrowed via Rocksbox.

Dress: Nordstrom (similar). Clutch: Gap (similar). Heels: JCPenny's (similar). Necklace: borrowed via Rocksbox. Sunglasses: Rayban's.

Top: J. Crew Factory. Skirt: J. Crew Factory. Clutch: Anthroplogie. Necklace: J. Crew (similar). Earrings: Gorjana Mave Shimmer Drop Studs borrowed via Rocksbox. Heels: JCPenny's (similar).

Overall, I had a really great experience with Rocksbox. While I may not necessarily have chosen all of the pieces, it was fun to try something new! I can't wait for my next box to come :) also, you can use the code "myinnerfabulousxoxo" to get your first month free!

*Keeping it real: My roommate and I took all three of these outfit pictures in an hour. This is your cue to be impressed :) also, I wasn't able to link everything from my outfits because a lot of the pieces are old and I couldn't find anything similar.

Graduation Dress

April 27, 2015

Dress: J. Crew Factory. Belt: Forever 21. Wedges: Steve Madden (similar in more sizes). Clutch: Coach purse worn as clutch (similar).

So I bought this dress to wear for graduation, which is in 20 days (!!!), but I just couldn't wait to share it with all of you! It's funny because my sister wore a different dress in the same pattern last year for her graduation. So it's the Day family graduation print. What's also funny is that it's such a big deal to pick out a dress that no one's going to see anyway, but who am I to argue with any reason to get a new dress?

My weekend was really excellent. I spent the day Friday with my mom at home, a good portion of which I spent looking at old yearbooks (which you'd have seen if you follow me on snapchat - @myinnerfabulous)! We went out to lunch and then watched the Bruce Jenner interview together. Then Saturday was my last ever Spring Jam. Which is the U's big spring concert/festival. It's like the last hurrah before finals. Sunday was absolutely gorgeous so I had lunch outside and lounged by the lake for a while. All-in-all it was a lovely weekend! Now I need to buckle down and get ready for the end of the semester!

*Keeping it real: I only wore this outfit for these pictures, but I had a good reason! I want to save this dress for graduation, but also wanted to share it with you while it's on sale ;)

Fabulous Finds

1. I'm going to Orlando in a few weeks to Disney/Universal, so I'm going to need some cute and comfy shoes. Thinking about pulling the trigger on these Converse!
2. Did you know that Milly did a collaboration for Kohl's? Yeah, me neither. It's all spring perfection though! Especially this dress.
3. A cool pair of shades from Forever 21.
4. Love this coral coat from Macy's!
5. Another pair of delightful, and whimsical, kicks I'm considering for FL by Bucketfeet!
6. Love this swingy dress from ASOS

Hope you had a fantastic week! I'm looking forward to spending the weekend relaxing with girlfriends!

Mixed

April 20, 2015

Crop top: Forever 21. Dress (worn as skirt): Anthropologie (similar).  Heels: JCPenny's (similar). Clutch: Coach (similar). Sunglasses: RayBan's

Hello, and happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty low key, spent Friday night with my sister, went to see a space exhibit at the science museum on Saturday (I went through a big space phase in elementary school), and then just watched movies/read the rest of the weekend. The perfect balance of relaxation and fun.

Sorry for being so erratic with my posting lately! Life has just caught up with me and I'm trying to get back to a regular schedule!

*Keeping it real: I may or may not have just thrown this outfit on only to go over to my sisters to hang out. You can never be too overdressed, right? ;)

Patterned

April 15, 2015

Skirt: J. Crew (on major sale!). Top: Loft (similar). Flats: Old Navy (similar). Belt: Target. Sunglasses: RayBan's

Sorry for the radio silence last week! Remember that project/presentation I've been talking about for the past few months? Well that's where all of my time and energy has been spent lately, so the blog took a back seat. But, now it's over and I have my life back! Anyways, this outfit isn't anything revolutionary, just a few of my favorite pieces paired together for a fun, feminine look!

Hope your week is going well!

xo Catherine

*Keeping it real: I'm pretty sure I wore an outfit almost exactly like this a year or two ago on the blog, but in all honesty I was too lazy to go back and look. It's a favorite combination of mine, so you'll probably something similar again!

Le Pantalon

April 8, 2015

Pants: Vince Camuto. Sweater: Halogen (similar). Clutch: Anthroplogie (similar). Shoes: JCPenny's (similar).

So. These pants. I'm obsessed. I know I say that a lot and it probably has lost some validity but I actually love these. It's probably no surprise to you that I'm loving blush right now, so when I saw Liz wearing these, I purchased them immediately. When you know, you know (lolol).

I wore this look for Easter and it was the perfect nod to spring while being temperature appropriate (I think it was like 40 degrees). I'm already planning lots of fabulous brunch looks in my head featuring these pants!

*Keeping it real: In all honesty, I will probably hate these pants in a year. They're trendy and not the most flattering, but right now I'm okay with that.
