Casual Rainy Day
March 30, 2015
Trench coat: Calvin Klein (similar). Blouse: Ann Taylor. Jeans: J. Crew Factory. Rain flats: Chooka. Purse: Coach.
This is a super simple outfit that I wore over the weekend for brunch when it was very rainy and windy (I was lucky to get these pictures taken). I think that trench coats are the secret to looking pulled together. A trench automatically takes whatever you're wearing up a notch and polishes it off. This is the trench coat I was just telling you guys about that I wore every day in London and am so sick of. I still wear it a ton though because it goes with everything and makes me feel like I've got it together. On a totally unrelated note, I'm so excited it's warm enough for distressed denim again! I wore this pair every day this weekend because I love them so much and I can't wear them during the week to work, so I have to get my fix on the weekend.
Anyways, my weekend was jam-packed. I spent basically the whole weekend with friends. I would say that's pretty much my definition of a perfect weekend!

Fabulous Finds
March 27, 2015
1. I have a thing for peep-toed booties right now, but I can't find a pair I absolutely love. I bought these a few weeks ago, but ended up returning them. This pair by Vince Camuto is seriously tempting me though.
2. I have a major crush on this blush purse by Kate Spade.
3. I loved this print last year, but never bought anything with it from J. Crew. Now the pattern has moved to J. Crew Factory and this dress is calling my name.
4. I think my peep-toed bootie obsession has manifested itself into a mule obsession. I know, I know, mules? Are you serious? Yes, I am, and I want this pair from Kohl's.
5. I have a trench coat, but I wore it basically every. single. day when I was in London, and I've never quite gotten over being sick of it. Weird, I know. Anywho, I like the looks of this pale pink one from Daily Look.
6. A little late to the game here, but this marble Rebecca Minkoff - I die.
Have any fun weekend plans? I'm going to try a new (to me) distillery with my sister tonight! Then tomorrow I'm getting drinks with girlfriends along the Mississippi, and Sunday is brunch with some good friends. Basically, it's going to be a fun weekend!

Blushing
March 25, 2015
Skirt: J. Crew. Sweater: Forever 21 (similar). Shoes: Old Navy (similar). Purse: Forever 21 (similar).
If you can't tell, I'm really loving monochromatic looks right now (as evidenced by two monochromatic posts in a week). I just think they're really chic. I also can't enough of this light pink color. I just got my tax refund (holla) and am considering pulling the trigger on a beautiful blush Tory Burch purse. Treat yo self, amiright? I'm thinking that this look would be perfect for Easter brunch in a few weeks, especially if it doesn't warm up.
Hope your week is going well! Also, I just created a public snapchat account. You should follow along @myinnerfabulous!

*Keeping it real: I wasn't 100% sure about this skirt. I liked it, but I didn't know if I loved it. You know how that goes. It sat on my desk for a few weeks after I bought it, and then I decided to try it out for this post and then I was sold!
Monochrome
March 23, 2015
Jeans: Loft (similar). Sweater: Old Navy (similar). Scarf: Zara (similar). Purse: Coach. Shoes: Sam Edelman (similar).
I'm seriously loving monochromatic looks right now (just wait for Wednesday's post)! I love how fresh they look, especially an all white look.
Phew, last week was one of the longest and most stressful ever. Like I've mentioned before, I'm one of the presidents for my university's chapter that's competing in the National Student Advertising Competition. Our project was due on Friday so we spent all day every day of our spring break working on it. Then I spent all weekend lounging, getting a massage, and sleeping (oh and wine too). It was a stressful, but very rewarding experience. Now we have to present our project in a few weeks, so it's not over yet!
Hope you had a great weekend!

*Keeping it real: Honestly, I don't love these jeans. I think the length is a little weird and unflattering. What are you gonna do? Might be time to hunt for a new pair :)
Let's Go to the Beach
March 18, 2015
No new outfit post today. As I mentioned on Monday I spent the whole weekend shooting Pizza Hut commercials, so there was very little time for pictures! Therefore, today's post is all about the beachwear I'm lusting after. A combination of things have me dreaming about beachwear: I'm technically on spring break right now, I keep seeing pictures of everyone on vacation in tropical places, we just booked a trip to Florida in May, and I'll be living 45 minutes away from the beach in three months! I've had my eye on this cover up from Topshop. It's so perfectly airy! I want this swimsuit from River Island so bad! I love the classic black and white. Another black and white suit to die for: a peplum suit from Topshop. These Old Navy sandals would go with everything and would especially perfect to slip on and off at the beach.
Now I just need to find myself a beach :)

Light and Airy
March 16, 2015
Skirt: J. Crew. Blouse: Ann Taylor. Pumps: Target. Purse: Forever 21 (similar). Earrings: BaubleBar (similar).
Hello and happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was almost entirely spent working on NSAC (National Student Advertising Competition). We shot commercials and wrote copy all weekend (there was a fair amount of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and reading too, don't worry!). We call this week "Hell Week" because we spend all day every day of our Spring Break working. Our final project is due on Friday! Cue all of the stress dreams/anxiety/knots in my stomach! I basically won't be able to relax until April 11th when we present our project to the judges.
Hope your week is less stressful than mine!

*Keeping it real: I haven't actually worn this outfit IRL. I put it on for pictures, then immediately changed to go shoot a Pizza Hut commercial. It sure is pretty though :)
Cropped
March 11, 2015
Crop top: Forever 21. Skirt: Loft (similar). Heels: JCPenny's (similar). Clutch: Coach (similar). Necklace: J. Crew Factory.
I wore this outfit on Sunday for brunch with Mark. I know brunch is cliche among bloggers, but I don't care because it's basically heaven. I love love love breakfast foods. Donuts. Eggs. Cinnamon rolls. Bacon. Hashbrowns. What's not to love? Anyway, our brunch was delicious. I had a "Napa Bubbles" cocktail which was champagne and pomegranate juice. So good. I got to wear short sleeves and a skirt, ride to and from brunch in a convertible, and eat delicious food. All in all, it was a pretty excellent day.
Hope your week is going well!

Travel Diary: California
March 10, 2015
Here's a little recap of my weekend visiting Mark in California!
This is the pool at my future apartment. To say it looks heavenly is an understatement. I will be here every weekend lounging and I'm not mad about it.
My legs were loving the fresh air! Seriously though, a girl can only wear jeans and boots for so many months.
On Saturday we headed into San Francisco for the day. It's such a charming city! All of the houses are adorable and I would live in every single one.
We pretty much ate, walked around, ate somewhere else, walked around, got a drink, walked around...you get the picture. It was a perfect day trying out lots of new places like A16. It was unbelievably adorable. I think I said the word "cute" approximately 72 times while we were there.
We walked around/people watched by the harbor.
Mark has a convertible, so here is a little snap that I sent out on Sunday after a delicious brunch ;)
Spring is in full swing in California. Lots of pretty blooms.
It was basically a perfect weekend. Lots of quality time with my guy and lots of yummy food (oh and a little bit of House of Cards too)!
