I wore this outfit to a concert last Friday, and I'm pretty much obsessed with it. Especially the sequined top! I've already got three different holiday outfits planned around it. Now I just need to get invited to some parties...

I'm off to California tonight for a long Halloween weekend with Mark! To say I'm excited is an understatement.

This was the first weekend in a while that I was able to relax, and it was fab-u-lous. I slept in, spent time with friends, went to a concert with my sister, and had a rooftop dinner (in October!) with an amazing view.

TGIF, amiright? This week dragged on. After I finished with midterms on Tuesday, I kept thinking the week should be over #theworst. Tonight I'm going to the Black Keys concert with my sister, and I have a friend's party on tomorrow night. So excited to not spend the whole weekend doing homework!

I wore this outfit to class and an NSAC (National Student Advertising Competition) meeting last week, and then again out for lunch with my sister and I got so many complements. Talk about a confidence boost, who doesn't love that?! I am finally done with midterms (for now) and so I can't wait to sit back, watch Halloween movies, eat Reese's pumpkins, and bide my time until my trip to California next week!

Whenever I buy something, I always imagine all of the outfits I'll be able to create with it. Well when I bought this striped shift in the spring I imagined wearing this exact outfit, and only now did I finally get around to posting it here on the blog. So it's been a long time coming!

This weekend was equal parts fun and studying (actually more studying than fun, but what are you gonna do). I studied most of the day on Friday, but then gave myself the night off to go to the homecoming concert. Iggy Azalea was the headliner, so needless to say, that was pretty fun. It was a great last homecoming. Then I pretty much spent all of Saturday and Sunday studying. I'll finally be done with midterms for a few weeks after Tuesday, so I'm itching to fast forward to Tuesday night.

I love this sweater because it makes me look like a layering pro, but I you don't have to deal with the bulkiness of wearing multiple shirts. A little tip though, when you are layering an oxford under a sweater, wear a tank top over the button-up to get rid of some of the bulkiness!

I had a blast shooting these pictures by the Mississippi on Friday. That's what happens when you bring your friends along and they help style and pose you ;)

This weekend was pretty much insane. Had coffee with a friend from high school (love when you haven't seen someone in a long time, but you can just pick back up!), had dinner with my mom and sister, saw Gone Girl, volunteered at the ALS Superhero Dash, dressed up as a zombie and participated in the world's biggest zombie pub crawl. Phew, I'm exhausted all over again just from typing all of that. Now it's on to more studying for midterms :(
