This Turtleneck
December 10, 2014
Sweater: Forever 21 (similar). Turtleneck: Old Navy. Jeans: Banana Republic. Boots: Hunter. Purse: Topshop (similar).
These pictures aren't the greatest quality, so I apologize for that. I'm still learning how to adjust my camera settings!
Anyway, are you starting to get a sense of how much I wear this turtleneck? It's such a great layering piece! (seen here and here)
It's finals week around these parts, but thankfully mine are all spaced out so I don't have to cram too much. In fact my sister and I got free tickets to a concert on Monday night (thanks Emily!) and I'm going to the gopher basketball game tonight, so I'm clearly not too stressed!
Hope you're having a wonderful week!

A Casual Christmas Outfit
December 8, 2014
Sweater: Michael Kors. Turtleneck: Old Navy. Jeans: Gap. Purse: Forever 21 (similar). Shoes: Old Navy.
This outfit would be perfect for a casual Christmas celebration. It's got just the right amount of holiday spirit with the gold and red, but it's not cheesy. I wore this to a casual holiday party over the weekend and got quite a few compliments!
I had a really excellent weekend filled with lots of friends and good food (and maybe a few margaritas). Hope you had a fun weekend too!

Fabulous Finds
December 5, 2014
1. An adorable bow pump from Forever 21. I bought these on Cyber Monday for a wedding in January!
2. I've given up on finding the perfect plaid pant, but now I just want a pair of pants that aren't jeans to mix things up a bit. These ivory cords from J. Crew fit the bill.
3. So in love with this plaid moto jacket from Gap. I didn't buy it on Black Friday/Cyber Monday because I felt that I had plenty of coats (can you ever really have too many?) and because it doesn't look that warm for a MN winter. However, it looks perfect for a CA winter :) so I may just have to snap it up if it goes on sale again.
4. Love this little leopard cross body by Kenneth Cole.
5. I put these ALDO booties on my Christmas list and am hoping that Santa brings them :)
6. I'm hoping that someday in the near future I'll have enough room in my apartment for a bar cart because they are just so cute (and functional for entertaining). This gold one from Target is currently catching my eye.
Happy Friday! Did you have a good week? I sure did. I barely had any homework (the calm before the finals storm), my volleyball team won the intramural championship (I've been playing since 3rd grade!), and I have a fun weekend ahead. Tonight I'm doing happy hour with my sister and cousin (margaritas!), and then I have a holiday party, tomorrow I'll start studying for finals, but then I have another holiday party! Love this festive time of year!

Handmade Hat
December 3, 2014
Coat: Old Navy (similar). Turtleneck: J. Crew. Scarf: Gap. Hat: made by my sister (similar). Sunglasses: RayBans. Purse: Forever 21 (similar). Booties: Sam Edelman. Jeans: Gap.
For the last four years or so I had one hat that I liked (I'm very picky about them for some reason), but then I lost it. So this year I commissioned my sister, who is a knitting pro, to make me a new hat and I love how it turned out!
On a side note: this scarf is the softest you will ever feel. It's not even cashmere, but it's crazy soft. I have another one that I've had for years (seen here) but I decided to treat myself to another on Black Friday :)
Hope you're having a good week!
