Rocksbox Review
April 29, 2015
Today's post is a long one, but it's so good, so bear with me! I'm excited to tell you about Rocksbox, which is a monthly jewelry borrowing service! When Rocksbox reached out to me and offered to let me try it out I agreed immediately, because hellooo jewelry! It's such a fun idea. You take a survey about your style and then they send you three pieces to try out. You can wear them for as long as you'd like, and then return them to get three new pieces! If you really love something, you can purchase it, or send it back to try something new. So today, I styled the three pieces I was sent in my first Rocksbox. It was actually quite thrilling to see what they would send me. It's the little things, ya know?

*Keeping it real: My roommate and I took all three of these outfit pictures in an hour. This is your cue to be impressed :) also, I wasn't able to link everything from my outfits because a lot of the pieces are old and I couldn't find anything similar.

Hello, and happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty low key, spent Friday night with my sister, went to see a space exhibit at the science museum on Saturday (I went through a big space phase in elementary school), and then just watched movies/read the rest of the weekend. The perfect balance of relaxation and fun.
Sorry for being so erratic with my posting lately! Life has just caught up with me and I'm trying to get back to a regular schedule!

*Keeping it real: I may or may not have just thrown this outfit on only to go over to my sisters to hang out. You can never be too overdressed, right? ;)
Le Pantalon
April 8, 2015
Pants: Vince Camuto. Sweater: Halogen (similar). Clutch: Anthroplogie (similar). Shoes: JCPenny's (similar).
So. These pants. I'm obsessed. I know I say that a lot and it probably has lost some validity but I actually love these. It's probably no surprise to you that I'm loving blush right now, so when I saw Liz wearing these, I purchased them immediately. When you know, you know (lolol).
I wore this look for Easter and it was the perfect nod to spring while being temperature appropriate (I think it was like 40 degrees). I'm already planning lots of fabulous brunch looks in my head featuring these pants!

*Keeping it real: In all honesty, I will probably hate these pants in a year. They're trendy and not the most flattering, but right now I'm okay with that.

Mules?
April 6, 2015
Shoes: ShoeMint via Kohl's. Jumpsuit: Loft (similar). Jacket: Zara (couldn't find any blue ones, but here's a really cute yellow one)! Clutch: Anthropologie (similar).
I never in a million years would have thought I'd own a pair of mules, and yet, here we are. And you know what? I am seriously loving the this trend. I think it's a fun way to spice up an outfit! I'm sure I won't like them anymore in a year, but for right now my feet and I are living it up in mules!
I hope you all had a fun, relaxing holiday weekend! I spent a lot of mine practicing for my NSAC presentation on Saturday (!!!) but there was also plenty of family and brunch food :) I wore this outfit out for dinner at La Belle Vie (a fancy restaurant in Minneapolis) on Saturday with my family.

All of the Layers
February 16, 2015
Vest: Nordstrom Rack (similar). Top: J. Crew (can be recreated with this and this). Jeans: Old Navy. Flats: Target (similar). Purse: Topshop (similar). Hat: Anthropologie (similar). Sunglasses: RayBan.
Hi! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty excellent. On Friday I saw Still Alice (very sad, but Julianne Moore was excellent) and then made myself lasagna and watched movies. Then on Saturday I had lunch with my mom at the Sassy Spoon (#bestnameever) and it was delicious (and all gluten free)! Then I celebrated Galentine's Day with some of my girlfriends. We ordered Chinese, drank wine, and watched Titanic. Yesterday was spent as all Sundays are: homework :(
As far as this outfit goes, it's not really anything amazing, but the layers create a bit of visual interest. I wore this simple, layered look on Friday for a day of running errands

*Keeping it real: It was way too cold to wear flats, but I just couldn't bring myself to wear boots yet again. Also, I'm just feeling very uninspired when it comes to creating interesting outfits. You could say I'm ready for spring clothes!
