Leopard in California
March 9, 2015
Jacket: Ann Taylor. Jeans: Gap. Flats: Target (similar). Sunglasses: Rayban. Purse: Forever 21. Scarf: Zara (similar).
It's pretty much safe to say that I'm obsessed with this coat. I wore it all weekend in California (more to come on my trip tomorrow). Normally I wouldn't buy a spring coat, because "spring" lasts for a hot minute in Minnesota. However, this type of coat is perfect for California pretty much year-round. I'm headed home to 50 and even 60 (!!) degree weather in Minneapolis though so you will find me in this coat for the foreseeable future.
Hope you had a good weekend!

Fabulous Finds
March 6, 2015
1. The perfect raincoat from Zara.
2. A simple, chic sandal from Steve Madden.
3. The cutest Jessica Simpson wedges.
4. Quite possibly the cutest swimsuit ever from Topshop.
6. Seriously lusting after this Rifle Paper Co. iPhone case.
6. How chic are these Chelsea28 pants? Not sure I could pull them off, but loving them nonetheless.
Hello and happy Friday from sunny California! I'll be here for the next three days enjoying the sunshine. Can you tell from this week's picks that I'm craving spring? Good thing it's warm enough here to pull out a few spring pieces!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Pretending it's Spring
March 2, 2015
Crop top: Forever 21. Chambray: J. Crew. Jeans: Gap. Flats: Target (similar). Purse: Topshop (similar). Sunglasses: RayBan.
So last week I decided that I was over winter clothes and wanted to shoot this springy look for the blog. I thought I could pretend that it was spring, but then Mother Nature was all "Lol, think again, Catherine!" It was basically cold and windy AF when we took these pictures on Saturday. I looked at the weather and it was a balmy 21 degrees (felt like 11), but I thought "Oh, the sun's out it will be fine." Lol, nope. I think we were outside for approximately four minutes before we had to run inside because I couldn't feel my hands.
Besides taking these pictures my weekend was downright lovely. I honestly didn't do much. Went home to have dinner with my mom, watched movies, and started a new book. Just the way I like it!
And now for your viewing pleasure:
Literally grimacing from the wind. It was painful!
Taking a sec to warm up between shots.
Have a good one!

Pink and Black
February 25, 2015
Coat: Joa. Dress: Target (similar). Belt: Target. Purse: Forever 21 (similar). Booties: Nordstrom Rack (similar).
One of the classes that I'm in right now is a case studies class. So all we do is read case studies about companies and their advertising strategies. It's so fascinating. Anyway, we just read one about Target last week and it talked about how back in the '80's and '90's no one would be caught dead in clothes from Target. Thank god that's changed; half of this outfit is from Target! Minneapolis is a total Target town since it's based here, but I really do love that place. And they have some serious style game. Whenever I tell people that this dress (or these heels) are from Target they're shocked. Well that concludes my Target-obsessed ramble for the day.
How's your week going so far? Mine has been majorly stressful. The club that I've talked about before (National Student Advertising Competition) is heating up and subsequently keeping me up at night! Our project is due in three weeks and I'm having stress dreams every other night.
Hope your week is less stressful than mine!
xo Catherine
*While it was actually warm enough to wear this outfit (25 degrees, holla) on the day these pictures were taken I proceeded to take this outfit off immediately after these pictures. If was replaced with my coziest cashmere sweater and blanket scarf to go see a movie with my sister.
