This is the perfect sweater for the beach, no? Unfortunately I have not been to the beach recently and didn't style it as such for this post but I couldn't help but think how perfect it would be with white jeans at the beach. Can't you just picture it? At least at a Northern California beach where it's never warm enough to swim. Anyway, just picture me wearing this with white jeans at the beach, oh and I'm also in a Nancy Meyers movie. Because I feel like everyone wears monochromatic tan outfits in her movies and it's basically just a life dream to live in on one of her sets. Okay, so now that I've said all that you can just ignore how fall-ish this outfit looks :)

You may or may not remember that I struggle with finding blouses that I like. Well tops with fun details are all the rage right now so I basically have my pick of the litter. I wanted to dabble in the voluminous sleeve trend but didn't want something too outlandish, i.e. not being able to eat without getting food all over your sleeve. So I was pretty excited when I found this little number this weekend. The cropped sleeve and the fairly tame bell shape keep it cute and still functional! This blouse would be great for work or you could dress it up for a night out. I'm so bad at choosing "going out clothes," so this will be a real lifesaver for those rare occasions! ;) 

If it isn't clear by now I have fully embraced the botanical/palm trend that we've been seeing the past couple of years. So needless to say I couldn't pass this one up when I saw it. I don't normally love midis on my me but I've been really drawn to them lately for some reason. I feel like I should be on an island in this getup! Maybe I'll bring this dress along on our honeymoon in Mexico...by the way, we booked our honeymoon to Mexico! ;) 

This blouse is the best. I simultaneously feel very stylish and also like a very preppy pirate and I love it. Sleeve details are definitely all the rage right now and a lot of them are just a little too much for me, but these slightly billowed sleeves are a nice way to get some of the trend in without getting too crazy.

Have you ever realized that the best summer hats have a black band around them? I don't know about you but I rarely wear black or things that look good with black in the summer months. Enter this hat from Target that has a blue and white striped band that goes perfectly with my summer wardrobe!

Yep. I bought the dress. It was triple points at Nordstrom and I knew I was getting a tax refund (#holla) so I went for it and I'm not sorry because it's perfect! The bows! The flowers! The fit and flare! It's got everything. Can't wait to pull it out for my friend's wedding this summer. I may need to find an excuse to wear it before then too :)

It was in the 70's the whole weekend here so I donned bare legs and sandals and I'm not one bit mad about it! I'm really loving this dress but am so sad to say that it sold out before I could get photos posted :( luckily there are a ton of similar options out there and I've linked a bunch in the widget below!

Seriously cannot get over the bow on this top, it's too cute! I knew I needed it the moment I laid eyes on that blue bow (although it comes in two other colors!). It's so perfect for spring and summer. Speaking of which, it was 70 degrees here yesterday, so we're on our way! 

I was browsing around in J. Crew Factory and saw this adorable striped strawberry t-shirt and just couldn't resist. I had seen it online and passed it over but it was too adorable in person! It's cute details like this that allow me to justify buying multiple striped items ;) Be sure to read all the way to the bottom of the post to see why Mark thinks I shouldn't be allowed to wear this t-shirt😂

I call these my "cool" shoes because I feel quite cool when I wear them, and that's not a word I use to describe myself very often! Gotta love when your accessories elevate your status ;)

I ordered this romper from Last Call before my Mexico trip and it was supposed to come on time, but didn't end up making it until after I got back. Anywho, the point is that I had planned to style it in Mexico but wasn't able to, so now here I am modeling it in California when it was only 50 degrees :)

I guess I'm really into neutrals right now? I think that's just what naturally happens for a lot of us during the winter. I know I'm feeling a little uninspired and all neutrals always feels put together so I tend to reach for neutrals from head to toe more often. I think I have every neutral but navy packed into this outfit too #winning

As you may have seen I spent Sunday in the adorable beach town of Capitola, which is so bright and colorful. This outfit doesn't quite fit in😂I felt like I should have been wearing a fun sundress, but it was a little chilly for that! I opted for neutrals instead. It always feels a bit odd to wear sweaters, coats, and scarves at the beach, but that's Northern California for you!
