Nothing makes a Tuesday morning better than waking up to a Kate Spade Surprise Sale in my inbox! There are a ton of beautiful pieces for really excellent prices. This deep plum bag below is actually drool worthy and currently in my cart. I'm thinking I may need to treat myself to a new fall bag, especially since I'm not shopping for the month of September! Aren't these tights adorable? I love that they're fun without being too in your face. The perfect compliment to a metallic sweater! And what about this little purse?! It's so baby! I can't get over how cute it is. I bought it in red too :)
How was your weekend? Mine was excellent. Mark and I made dinner for my mom, watched lots of movies (watch The Intouchables on Netflix--so so good!), had drinks with a friend, spent time with family, and watched the Golden Globes of course :)

A shrug is perfect to go with a fit and flare dress. I always feel like I'm ruining my outfit when I wear a long cardigan because it takes away from the shape of the dress. This one gives you a little warmth without sacrificing style ;)

Hello and happy Monday! I am completely smitten with this dress. It's perfect for a cocktail party or a fancy holiday party. I have a family wedding in January that I will be wearing this to and I can't wait to take her for a spin! If you're looking for a dress to wear to a holiday party you can never go wrong with gold and black. It's festive without being in your face. Another thing to keep in mind when going to a holiday party is a host/hostess gift. Something small to let your hostess know you're thankful for all of the work she put into party planning. I know some of you may be thinking it's a little early for this post, and you're not wrong. However, a combination of getting a few inches of snow yesterday and my love of planning ahead lead me to create this post. Personally, I start thinking about what I want to wear for holiday parties any time after Halloween (it's the type A in me), so I thought I would share a fun round-up of what's been catching my eye. A lot of fun, holiday items (especially anything sequined) will sell out the closer we get to Christmas, so it's never too early to start planning! Personally, I bought this sequined top in black and am planning an outfit around it. I also just bought this gold dress for a wedding after New Years! After Thanksgiving (yes, I have some sense of control) I'll be showing you a few different holiday styles that I plan on wearing this year. Can't wait!

Hello and happy Friday! We made it through the week! This weekend is going to be a little crazy. My friends and I are going to the Zombie Pub Crawl for the first time. It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like: dress up like a zombie and go drink at bars. Apparently 30,000 tickets were sold though, so it's going to be insanity! Maybe I'll post pictures of my zombie look on Monday ;)

Striped Shift

You can't go wrong with a striped shift dress. Every girl should have one; they're so classic and versatile. What I love about this one in particular: it's not too short (as shifts tend to be #helloawkward), and I wore this all day and it didn't wrinkle at all! That's one of my least favorite things about spring/summer clothing...they tend to be made out of materials that wrinkle easily. You should know, I'm a hardcore ironer, so wrinkles drive me insane #analretentive.
